The Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC), now on its 17th year, will host for the first time an Asia East regional round, organized by Nanyang Business School, and to be held in Singapore on 8th March 2014 . VCIC is among the prestigious international business plan competition among MBAs, with regional rounds in various parts of the world. Only a total of six to eight teams will be participating in this round. Each School can send only one team for the competition consisting of up to 5 students.
Winners in the Asia East Round will not only win exciting prizes, but also get to compete with other winners from across top MBA programs in the world, at the Global VCIC Finals in April 2014 at Kenan – Flagler Business School in the USA.
Founded by the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the VCIC is an annual competition for MBA students where they will play the role of investors, while actual entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to them. Students compete to make the best investment decisions and are then judged by practicing venture-capitalists on their performance.
Participants get the opportunity to not only experience investment management in an international setting, but also compete with like-minded peers from other international schools. Furthermore, they would be able to interact with established industry-leaders, academicians and entrepreneurs during networking events organized along with the competition.
